The Scorpion Motor Bearing Lubrication Kit will help you maintain the bearings in your Scorpion brushless electric motor. Today's brushless motors, especially the helicopter motors, can be pretty hard on the bearings. In an average flight, the motor in a 450 size helicopter spins around almost a quarter million times! Without proper lubrication, the balls in the bearings can wear out quickly, leading to premature failure. At these speeds, the oil can get thrown out of the bearings in as little as 10-15 flights. Once the bearings loose their lubrication, they can heat up and wear out very quickly. A small drop placed on each bearing about once every 10-15 flights is enough to maintain proper lubrication to insure the longest possible life for your motor bearings.

The oil included in this kit contains everything necessary to keep your motor bearings in top condition. The specially designed oil not only lubricates, it also bonds to the metal parts, displaces moisture and prevents corrosion to extend the life of your motor bearings.

The oil is safe for use on Acrylics, Polyester, Nylon, Vinyl, Delrin, Teflon, Formica, Polyethylene and Polypropylene. It is also safe on most painted surfaces. There is no visible effect on Buna-N, Viton or Neoprene rubber products, so it is safe around most fuel lines, O-rings and other rubber products.

The Scorpion Motor Bearing Lubrication Kit contains a 23ml bottle of bearing lubricant, a leak-proof twist-on cap, and a needle point applicator (19.5mm in length, 1.3mm in diameter) with protective cover. You have to remove the screw inside the Aluminum cap before use.

The magnets used in Scorpion Motors are custom manufactured to be able to withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees C (392 F).

All Scorpion HK Series 22mm motors come with 3.5mm male Bullet style connectors already attached, and include a hardware package that contains 3 matching female Bullet connectors for your speed controller, heatshrink to cover the bullet connectors and mounting screws. Since the HK series motors are primarily designed for Helicopter and Ducted Fan use, they do not include a prop adapter. If you intend on running a prop on this motor, you will need to purchase a prop adapter for a 3.17mm shaft (1/8 inch).

Scorpion Motors are built to last, and are backed with a 2-Year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. However, due to the high RPM of these motors, and the fact that we cannot control the installation and setup, the bearings are not covered by the 2-Year warranty, nor is any subsequent damage caused to the motor by a bearing failure. Bearings are a normal wear item, and as such, need to be maintained and changed periodically. For maximum life, make sure that a sufficient gap is left between the pinion and main gear during motor installation to avoid binding, and put a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure that the bearings are maintained properly.

The Tribunus II 12-130A has proven to be one of our most versatile and capable ESCs. Bridging the gap between medium to large size HV models it is a perfect mix of lightweight and economic, yet very capable. When looking at ways to improve this product from previous versions, the list of possibilities was very short, it was nearly perfect before. However, we have improved the PCB components and tuned the firmware to make the capacity measurement even more precise. Then we have added a 30mm cooling fan (which connects easily to your RX / Gyro system) and improved the case design to help direct the generated air towards the heat sensitive components. Cooler temperature increase the life span, and lower the chance of failures in the long run!
