    Performance evaluation:

    Without a doubt, there is something good cooking with the Hanson 260. The most impressive data is the nice rpm increase as exhaust restriction is lessened and the nearly equal improvement in thrust that ranges the span of propellers tested.

    Although the Hanson 260 opens up the rpm envelope, the engineering of this unique 1.6 gasoline engine still stakes its claim in the 9,000rpm range. And although the approximate 1,000rpm increase in open-port performance that divides the stock and Hanson 260 engines is striking, the tests suggest that most of the "pulling" power still lives in a lower range (good news for you IMAC and fun-fly folks). For you speed demons, just throw on a Hanson tuned pipe and header and go for it; I'm sure the Hanson G-26 will twist the starch out of small-diameter, high-pitched props.

    For certain, the modified G-26 substantially opens up the range of propeller choices while providing excellent thrust performance for a gas engine of its size. At 44.9 ounces-minus battery and muffler-I think you'll find this engine extremely accommodating, regardless of your intended use. The choice is yours!

    2. The cylinder transfer ports are porter for mid-range rpm, and very high torque (11,500 rpm to 12,500 rpm). The only type of it’s kind.
    3. It also has the only crank case with special re-greased 4 high temp sealed bearings, instead of three. (CRRC three)
    4. And are sealed to the crank so there is no lash vibrations or air leaks,
    5. The compression is 16:1,
    6. It also has new type of carburetor and cylinder case gaskets that are rated at 2,100 psi, they do not leak,
    7. Metal insulator, will be coming for every engine soon.
    8. The modified piston is ported & lightens for more torque at higher rpm. (Only of it's kind)
    9. And the high and low needles are set for break-in,
    10. Every engine is benched pre-run and tuned. Just install engine and fly,

    No one else has these upgrades,

    A "Pre Run In" is "Not a Break In", you still need to break in the engine

    You must follow break-in rules, Damage to cylinder and piston from over rev's and running lean that cause over heat are not covered

    The crankshaft is a hefty piece of forged steel, induction hardened, with a diameter of 15 mm and supported in two large ballraces, the conrod is a forged unit also induction hardened with caged roller bearings both ends, the gudgeon pin is hollow. There are two thin pegged rings. The ignition unit consists of two separate coils, both fixed to the side of the motor causing no interference with the cooling air. The standard Walbro pump carburettor is fitted with a choke.
