For some servos such as Futaba servo models 9241, 9251, 9253, 9254, 9255, 9256 and other digital servos are not capable of handling 6V, please connect a 5.1V step-down voltage regulator to the rudder servo, or connect it between BEC (ex. RCE-B6X) and the receiver for all servos. It could avoid the servos overloading and damaged.

The robbe 6 Volt Limiter derives a stabilised voltage of 5.7 Volts from a 5-cell NC / NiMH battery or two Lithium cells.
The maximum continuous load is 5 Amps, but the peak is significantly higher. A constant voltage supply offers the advantage that the servos always deliver consistent power and transit speed regardless of battery voltage. With this limiter it is also possible to use servos which are only designed for use with four NC / NiMH cells.Also suitable for stabilising the voltage of two Li-Po cells (7.4 Volts).
In this case the maximum continuous load is reduced to around 3.0 Amps since the unit has to dissipate more waste power. For simple applications one cable to the standard switch harness is all you need. For applications with higher current drain we recommend that you use two cables and a switch harness designed for higher load currents.
For example, the 5 A switch harness, No. 8024, or the Safety Switch, No. 8498, which features secure electronic contacts. In this case the second cable is connected to any vacant channel at the receiver.Note: If you wish to connect a second cable it will be necessary to attach a second lead to the receiver battery.

The device is plugged into a free port on your RX or FBL system and when you power up the device waits, monitors the system set voltage, then arms at that voltage less 0.5V. If the buffer pack needs topping up it will do that and balance it from the main packs or RX pack and stop when it gets to a nominal 8.1V. The device samples the system voltage every 2mS and if the system voltage drops below the armed set voltage then the buffer pack steps in if the system voltage recovers it drops out, this is seamless. The device when working can and does indicate locally that its operational and if it is charging or not but this is not able to be seen at distance. A separate external high intensity LED can be fitted that shows you are on the buffer pack, this is an option and these can be cascaded if required. The device works across 4.6V to 8V.

The Scorpion Backup Guard is a tiny, lightweight, self contained, Stand-by Power System for RC Helicopters and Aircraft. It works just like a UPS back-up power supply does to keep your computer running during a power outage. In the event of a failure of your BEC circuit in your speed controller, or loss of power from your on-board battery pack, the Backup Guard kick in and provides 5 volt power to your radio receiver and servos so you can autorotate your helicopter, or dead stick your airplane, down to a safe controlled landing.
The Scorpion Backup Guard is a completely self-contained Li-Po battery and BEC circuit in one! It features a built-in 2-cell 500mah Li-Po battery, coupled with a linear 5 volt 10 amp BEC circuit and special logic circuitry that turns it on only when it is needed. The output of the Backup Guard uses a standard JR style servo plug, and the combination Charge plug/Balance port is a standard JST-XHR style connector, so the battery can be charged and balanced with any standard Li-Po charger. Best of all, the Backup Guard is very easy to use. It simply plugs into the battery port, or any unused channel on your radio receiver, and it is ready to go. Before each flight, simply flip the switch on the Backup Guard and your model is protected. A small red LED lights up to let you know the Backup Guard is armed and ready to go.
As long as your normal flight battery or BEC system puts out more than 5.0 volts, the Backup Guard waits in the stand-by mode monitoring your radio receiver voltage level. If the receiver voltage ever drops below 5.0 volts, the Backup Guard instantly switches on and restores power to your radio gear to prevent loss of control or those annoying "Brown-outs". With up to 10 amps of current available to power your radio gear, the Back-up Guard has enough power to drive all of your servos through a Brown-out event, or for a safe controlled landing in the event of a total failure of your ESC or normal receiver battery system. Tail Servo Step-Down Voltage is ideally designed to step-down a voltage source of 6 volts that is outputted from any external BEC (battery eliminator circuit) down to 5.1 volts.
This allows an external 6 volt BEC to be used with digital servos that are not capable of handling 6 volts.
